Chi Yu is a web-novel author who likes to take it easy.
One day, his computer suddenly dies, so he heads to an internet cafe in the middle of the night to update his story.
The guy he doesn't know at the next computer loses a game, grumbles as he tosses down his headphones and lights a cigarette, then stares at Chi Yu's screen without a hint of shame.
That persistent stare makes Chi Yu's fingers freeze over the keyboard. The cursor keeps blinking and blinking, but he can't manage to type another word.
About five minutes later...
The guy taps his arm. "Hey, did you fall asleep?"
Chi Yu turns to look at him resentfully, sure his eyes are full of undisguised disdain. The guy ignores his resentment and nods toward the screen. "If you're not asleep, keep writing. What did he say? How did his senior brother die?"
Chi Yu grits his back teeth. Determined not to yield to the tyranny of this brute, he rolls his eyes dramatically, turns back, and firmly types on the keyboard:

Chi Yu is wondering how to explain that he's short on cash and will probably need a couple more days, when he opens the door...
The stranger is standing outside: ^_^ Sect leader, rent's due!
Chi Yu: ...
Chi Yu: Uh... bro, could you give me a couple more days?
The guy smiles without warmth. "Do you know how my senior brother died? He got hacked to death for falling behind on rent~"
