Stone

My name is Shitou.

I am a demon formed from a stone.

I fell in love with my master.

He was the one who first taught me about the world and everything in it.

I believed my master loved me, too.

Before I met the man who looked exactly like me, I had lived in a cocoon of comfort, never imagining there could be danger.

I never thought the man's sudden appearance would leave me utterly humiliated.

"Does it matter who Shitou is?"

Doesn't it?

Wasn't Shitou the one who stayed by Master's side day and night, sharing his loneliness and desires?

Looking at Master's cold gaze, I suddenly felt a little sad.

Every minute at the beginning was tender beyond words.

But the end was always a love that came too late.

Still, it doesn't matter.

I can wait for you, Master.

For a thousand years, ten thousand years, I can wait.
