Reborn as a Cat, I Return to the Tyrannical General's Side

An avoidant attachment gong x a cat-like shou.

A warm, healing, sweet little story.

Gu Ting died in the final battle before peace was won.

As he lay in the hospital, gravely wounded and on the brink of death, his lover, who had been by his side since their student days, remained unusually calm.

Calmly speaking with the doctors, calmly caring for him until the very end.

He seemed completely untroubled by Gu Ting's death.

Gu Ting didn't understand.

They were soulmates, perfectly suited to each other. Back in military school, they were inseparable, and people mistook them for twins.

By a twist of fate, Gu Ting was reborn as a stray cat.

Even more coincidentally, his former lover took him in.

There was hardly a trace of him left in the home they once shared, as if "Gu Ting" had never existed.

Gu Ting didn't mind. He was just a little cat now.

As a cat, he didn't need to think so much about love and romance. It was a comfortable life of eating, drinking, and basking in the sun.

Even if he ignored humans, they'd still pamper him and indulge him, giving him his favorite cans and dried fish.

In his second year as a cat, he was suddenly sent away to stay with someone else.

His instincts told him something was wrong.

Gu Ting ran back to his old home.

There, he saw his former lover standing before a wide-open window, clutching the love letter Gu Ting had written to him in their student days.

Tears covered his usually stern face, and his breath trembled.

"Tingting, the dream you told me about when we were teenagers... I, I've finally made it come true. Now, can I come find you?"

Gu Ting wanted to transform back into a human right then and there and drag him away from the window.
