A new full-dive transmigration-into-a-book game from Haowan Company lets players set their own quests and game stats. It became a massive hit as soon as it launched.
Su Tinger is an obscure author whose novels never take off. Determined to make her new conquest novel a success, she decides to experience the story herself. She makes the villain's life utterly miserable, then dives into the game.
As in every conquest novel, she appears when the villain is at his weakest and most helpless. She doesn't care about his identity or past; she cares for him, encourages him, and protects him, like a ray of light shining into his world.
The young master of the Nanling family grows into a refined and accomplished young man.
She watches his love for her deepen and his affection score slowly rise, all the way to one hundred. Once she has gathered enough material, Su Tinger fakes her death and takes on another body in the game, where she travels the world and indulges herself to her heart's content.
Later, when she runs into the villain, she pretends not to know him and treats him like a passing stranger. Strangely, though, she can never shake him off, and whenever he looks at her, he wears a sinister smile.
Then one day, as she drinks with a handsome man and puts an arm around him, a fan suddenly flies over and knocks away the wine cup she is lifting to the man's lips. The villain presses his sword to her throat, smiling faintly. Like a handsome-faced demon, he says, "Su Tinger, long time no see."
Because his affection score had reached one hundred, Su Tinger initially gives it little thought. She assumes he will be like the villains in every faked-death novel: still deeply in love with her, and overjoyed to see her again.
But later, she realizes that he really does want to kill her.
Only then does she discover in horror that the villain's maximum affection score is ten thousand. The hundred points she had earned were just a fraction.
The young master praised by everyone in the Nanling family is, deep down, still the madman everyone fears and despises.
