Year 4032 of the Star Era: horror returns across the world.

On the night of the hundred ghosts' procession, Lian Huai had been hungry for three days and three nights, but still couldn't escape being discovered.

The headless ghost hoisted her high into the air, the water ghost tugged at her ankles, and the scent-seeking ghost sniffed along her neck.

As she stood at death's door, Lian Huai heard a heavenly voice.

[Dear Player, you have been bound to the skill: Hungry Snake.]

[This skill is only effective when you are on the brink of death. Once activated, it cannot be stopped midway.]

[Eating progress: 0/999]

[Detecting a lethal threat. Activate?]

Lian Huai: She was going to die anyway, so she might as well try anything!

Lian Huai, with nothing left to lose: Use it, use it, use it!!

When she woke again, the three evil ghosts had vanished without a trace.

Lian Huai licked the blood from the corner of her mouth and concealed the snake scales on her wrist.

After horror returned, humans who hadn't awakened powers were responsible for manufacturing combat supplies in the underground cities.

The day the defenses were breached, the underground city was the first to bear the brunt.

When the army arrived, the city was deathly silent. They nervously pushed open the gates and saw a girl standing atop a giant serpent.

A mountain of corpses and a sea of blood before her, a thousand lights from homes behind her.

The tide of battle turned, and humanity erupted in celebration!

Lian Huai's response: Could you please leave those corpses alone?

I really have been hungry for days! QAQ

[The frantic girl who's always looking for food x the stubborn thorny Jizi sea serpent that insists on wrapping around her waist]
