Burning Bright

Feng Zhuo transmigrated. The good news was that he was in the prime of his life, and his mother was the head of the clan. The bad news was that the Loujia people were a matrilineal clan with a walking-marriage system. As a man, he was surrounded by maternal love every day, and the pressure was immense.

Feng Zhuo had been the pillar of his family since he came of age. He had never had so much free time, and he wasn't quite used to it.

One day, an outsider wandered into the Jiuku Mountain. Feng Zhuo saw that half the man's head was covered in blood and couldn't bring himself to leave him to die.

A few days later, the man finally woke up. His first words were, "Who are you? Where am I?"

Feng Zhuo suspected he was messing with him, so he joked, "I'm your fiance."

Huo Ran had lost his memory, but he hadn't turned into an idiot, so naturally he didn't believe a word of it. Still, faced with a group of fit women from another clan, Huo Ran locked the doors and windows every day, determined to defend his virtue to the death.

And you there, since you claim to be my fiance, then let's make it official. He'd rather lie on a man's solid chest than be worn out in a woman's arms.

Feng Zhuo clarified, "I was joking."

Huo Ran: "Husband, you've seen me naked. Are you going to seduce me and then abandon me?" His gritted-teeth expression was not the least bit pitiful.

Only then did Feng Zhuo realize that the seemingly refined young man was actually clingy as candy.

The Loujia clan didn't keep outside men, and that included sons-in-law. Feng Zhuo was kicked out by his clan-leader mother, and had no choice but to take the smooth-talking man he'd picked up as his husband and leave the mountains to make a living.

But this husband of his seemed to have quite the background...

A rational, gentle, all-around capable top and an adaptable, ambitious bottom.

Theme: Leave the mountains and lead your people to prosperity.
