Young Master Biao Is Not What He Seems

A cousin from afar arrives at the home of Kyoto's richest family to stay while taking the imperial exams. He's wonderful in every way, except that his health is poor and he always looks sickly...

Luckily, he's exceptionally talented, tall and graceful, and most importantly, very good-tempered...

Just the sort of person who can put up with Mo Zhi's spoiled temperament.

The wealthy Master Mo takes a closer look, then another, and finds himself seriously considering the match.

Mo Zhi, however, would rather die than agree. Only Mo Zhi knows what kind of scheming lies beneath that carefree smile.

She catches him "secretly meeting a married woman."

Then she sees him "bullying an innocent woman."

And finally discovers him "killing someone and burying the body."

Whenever he sees her, his eyes curve into a smile, a hint of menace showing beneath his pale skin.

Just thinking about someone like him makes Mo Zhi shudder. Every day, she tries to keep her distance, but somehow he keeps appearing in front of her.

Unable to get away, she can only shrink back and whisper, "Hello, Cousin."

The man's eyes are deep as he looks her over, dark and unfathomable. "Hello, Cousin."

Mo Zhi eventually finds herself a suitable husband, but just days before the wedding, she suddenly disappears.

-

When Mo Zhi wakes, he is holding her in his arms. The man presses close to her neck, his breathing low and heavy as he chuckles, "Cousin, now it's your turn to suffer."
