Mo Mian values peace and doesn’t like making trouble. When problems arise, he tries to settle things peacefully; if that doesn’t work, he’ll make do with an uneasy truce. But he has three red lines no one is allowed to cross:
First: his parents and family
Second: his master and senior fellow disciples
Third: his big black dog
After coming down from the mountain, he finds that one more red line has been added:
Fourth: Dou Lvzhen
Dou Lvzhen grew up stumbling through life with neither parent caring for him. He was never an easy pushover, but ever since meeting Mo Mian, he has saved the softest place in his heart for him.
Theme: Don’t pick fights, but don’t fear them either. Know your limits, and have the courage to take responsibility when trouble comes.
