The Short-Tempered Rabbit and the Calm Turtle

Two strangers are brought together little by little by the chuunibyou antics of a hot-tempered Miss Rabbit. Just after Miss Rabbit gets out, having spent five days inside after being sued by Mr. Turtle, she is told that she'll have to look after two children for the next year: a niece in her second year of middle school with severe chuunibyou, and a nephew in sixth grade with early-stage chuunibyou.

Well, now Haicheng Middle School is in for endless torment.

She leads students in fights with other schools, gets into brawls, causes trouble, and even goes to bars!

In the end, she's given an ultimatum: one more demerit and she'll be expelled.

The hot-tempered Miss Rabbit lets loose at the mild-mannered Mr. Turtle: “You'll regret losing such an excellent student. I really pity you. Do you think yours is the only school in Haicheng? Don't come begging me to return later!”

A week later, Miss Rabbit slinks back to Haicheng Middle School. To make amends for her past misdeeds, she's forced to take part in community service and a series of other activities alongside her niece.

Back in the place where she grew up, Miss Rabbit runs into people she used to hate: her biological mother, her maternal half-sister, and the old woman who lived next door to her and her father in the little alley. Certain things become clearer and clearer as she deliberately recalls them: people who look bright and beautiful, and people lying in the soil, rotting away.

Not only does the hot-tempered Miss Rabbit have to work her fingers to the bone to make up for the mistakes she made in her chuunibyou phase, she also has to go up against people who are clearly scarier than ghosts. When she's so exhausted she feels dizzy, she suddenly realizes that arguing one-sidedly with someone seems to be the easiest thing of all.

The hot-tempered Miss Rabbit is ill-tempered, looks down on people, and gets cocky around the vulnerable.

Mr. Turtle is a principled educator who selflessly devotes himself to his work, and a steady, calm rabbit.
