The Princess and Her Bald Little Darling

Chaoyang is a princess of the empire.

She has twelve brothers and eight sisters, and she is the fifth child.

She used to be the most inconspicuous member of the royal family.

Then her four older sisters got married, and the royal family lost all face.

The eldest fell in love with a eunuch and threatened to kill herself.

The second fell in love with her personal bodyguard and threatened to kill herself.

The third was supposed to marry the heir of the Duke of Wei's household, but through a twist of fate, she was snatched away to become a bandit chieftain's wife. Her father initially thought she was unwilling to marry and planned to send troops to attack. When the third princess heard the news, she rushed back to the palace that very night and threatened to kill herself.

The Emperor of Great Zhou: "!bx@j Threaten to kill yourselves, threaten to kill yourselves! You might as well all drive me to my grave!"

Then the emperor and empress suddenly turned their eyes toward Chaoyang in the Cold Palace. Their eyes blazed with unprecedented affection as they gazed warmly at the grimy little girl, silently vowing to redeem the family's reputation.

Chaoyang, who was about to fight for scraps beside a dog hole in the Cold Palace, trembled under the stare of the strange man and woman.

The Duke of Wei suddenly understood the emperor's feelings, sharing the same painful experience in a way that was uncannily similar.

Wei Zhao, heir of the Duke of Wei, was the greatest failure of the duke's life. His only son, his own flesh and blood, insisted on becoming a monk. He had spent the first half of his life so detached that he seemed to want nothing, yet on the eve of his wedding to the third princess, he shaved his head. Radiant and glorious! Saving all living beings!

The duke was so furious he could hardly keep from reaching for his sword, but still couldn't bring himself to do it. Even in his sleep, the Duke of Wei couldn't close his eyes!

He hurried to the palace that very night. The emperor expressed his sympathy and did not punish the Wei family. At the same time, the Duke of Wei gratefully carried a brand-new imperial decree back home.

The emperor and the Duke of Wei: "This time, we must guard everything with the utmost care!"
