Jiang Ran always avoids eye contact and shies away from conversation. Even with a three-and-a-half-year-old toddler, she can manage a few "mm-hmms" without saying a word more. Her approach to raising a child is simply to give up.

The production team scratches their heads. "Maybe we should replace Jiang Ran?"

The director overrules everyone. Controversy brings attention, so let's wait and see. We'll deal with it once things blow up (not really).

Then Heaven took pity on her and gave her a ray of light. Jiang Ran isn't warm enough to melt everything, but she's enough to give Shen Yizhang strength. Later, when Jiang Ran decides to leave her, it doesn't matter. Shen Yizhang already knows how to put down roots.
