On her first day of freshman orientation, Ye Yuge was admiring the handsome upperclassmen at the campus gate. Before she could even take a step, she saw that sullen, infuriating face that had disappeared without a word.
Ye Yuge bit her lip. "You did this on purpose, didn't you?!"
Gu Yi calmly corrected her. "I didn't. You did."
A high school pun made Ye Yuge bite Gu Yi's wrist without a second thought.
On the first day of school, Ye Yuge became the undisputed champion of the campus gossip wall.
Rumors about her and Gu Yi spread all over campus. Annoyed, Ye Yuge demanded that Gu Yi clear things up.
"Sure, we grew up together, but we're not close now, okay? I think the top humanities student in our year can explain it better than I can."
Two days later, in a video, the young man's brows were righteous and his eyes deep and tender. He spoke each word with utmost seriousness: "Yuge asked me to clear something up with everyone. Though we were engaged as children, we're not close now, so please don't believe or spread rumors. Thank you."
Ye Yuge stared around in bewilderment, like she'd drawn her sword and found nobody there. "...How kind of you to change four words in what I said."
Gu Yi peeled the bandage off the bite mark on his wrist at his leisure. "It was no trouble at all."
