After transmigrating, Lin Xiaorou was trapped in the inner quarters when her phone, dead for two years, suddenly lit up. Her WeChat was empty except for one lonely work group: Quick Transmigration Staff Work Group (Ancient Era Division).
Group announcement:
1. Serve clients wholeheartedly, and work hard to earn task rewards.
2. Keep your thoughts in order, and avoid emotional entanglements with people in the mission worlds.
3. Apply in advance if you want to take on modern missions.
4. Foster a positive atmosphere. Insulting the boss is forbidden.
5. Violations will be punished. Serious offenders will be kicked out of the group.
Lin Xiaorou left the group with trembling hands. After watching it for a few days, she saw that people either sang the praises of the project lead, who never said a word, discussed how bizarre the people and events in their latest missions were, or livestreamed their ascensions, monster hunts, imperial coronations, and ancient battlefields in the group video chat.
Suddenly, a notification appeared saying someone had mentioned her.
"Wen Chen (Project Lead) @Lin Xiaorou: New hire, please report your earliest possible start date."
Lin Xiaorou stared at the screen for a long time, thinking about the miserable experiences of the past few years. In a fit of passion, she replied in the same bootlicking tone everyone in the group used: "Thank you for all your hard work, Boss. I'm grateful for your guidance. The earliest I can start is tomorrow at nine in the morning."
After punishing a scumbag in keeping with her motto, "A scumbag's regret is worth jack. If you want revenge, make him bleed and lose a pound of flesh," she ascended to immortality in broad daylight.
But when she arrived in her first mission world, she nearly died on the spot. She wanted to mention Wen Chen in the group eight thousand times and curse him ten thousand times. Only then did she suddenly understand why the group rules specifically forbade "insulting the boss."
Much later, whenever her colleagues in the group mentioned Lin Xiaorou, they would say mildly, "She's a good person, but whatever you do, don't mess with her. Just look at what happened to Wen Chen."
Theme: Never give up striving.
