Name: The Year I Turned Nineteen, I Started Pursuing Him
Author: Cong Wen

Synopsis

My new novel, Retirement Savings Aren't Enough After I Got Pregnant, is now underway!

Dating a dentist really is so sweet it makes your teeth ache.

-

When Xun Jia was 16, he saw Jiang Jiyan for the first time in a customer's phone video and was instantly smitten at first sight.

At 18, Xun Jia left his hometown and came to Jiang Jiyan's city.

At 19, Xun Jia finally met Jiang Jiyan...

-

Xun Jia has been working two jobs back to back lately.

He's saving up to see the dentist.

Dr. Jiang is so talented, gentle, and beautiful. I'm going to marry him and take him back to my village to bring glory to my family!

-

Everyday life with Dr. Jiang

Xun Jia: Our Dr. Jiang is a scholar. He can't lift a hand or carry a load. But that's okay. I'll carry the buckets and lug the rice sacks!

Friend: Your Dr. Jiang just dislocated five people's arms in one go...

Xun Jia: Dr. Jiang, the mountain path is rough. I'll carry you.

Jiang Jiyan: Why would you carry me?

Xun Jia: Grandpa says you have to carry your own wife.

Later, Xun Jia knelt in front of his grandfather's grave, rubbing his aching waist. "I think I'm the wife..."

Xun Jia: I never even went to college. I can't bring honor to your family.

That's okay. You only need to light up my world.

Both the top and bottom have been hurt in love. The bottom is a little ray of sunshine.

Mature, gentle, handsome dentist top x young, uneducated, incredibly strong, outgoing bottom

The bottom really is uneducated and constantly misuses idioms. He's also the sort of outgoing person who's fearless because he doesn't know any better.

The top had a lover when he was a student. It was an innocent romance back then, you know what I mean.

The top is 32, the bottom is 19. Older top, sweet romance, very slow burn, focused on everyday life.

New novel, Retirement Savings Aren't Enough After I Got Pregnant

To most people, a coal boss means a fool with money to burn.

As a third-generation coal boss who's been cheated countless times,

Jiang Zan: I'm numb.

But he really had met that man who wouldn't be corrupted by wealth!

Then one day, that big darling who treated money like dirt showed up in front of him. "H-Hello. My luggage was stolen. Could you put me up for the night?"

Jiang Zan, ecstatic: How can one night be enough? I'll put him up day and night!

-

Lin Qingli woke up one day and discovered that he'd exhausted himself working around the clock to support an unfaithful jerk.

His boyfriend had spent his money to find himself a rich second-generation boyfriend, then dumped him without a second thought.

And in the end, Lin Qingli died alone and pitiful in a hospital because he had no money.

Lin Qingli: "..."

To hell with true love. All I want now is to make money!

Knowing what lay ahead, Lin Qingli knew that the little security guard living in the urban village was a super-rich third-generation coal boss.

That very night, he packed his bags and knocked on the rich guy's rusty front door.

I'm done working hard.

So you want to pretend to be poor? Bring it on, I'll play along.

-

Later, Lin Qingli had saved enough for retirement.

Before he retired and moved on, he repaid his wealthy benefactor with his body.

Then one day, he realized he couldn't quite pull up his jeans.

Looking at the medical report, Lin Qingli fell into thought.

His retirement savings... might not be enough.

-

When Jiang Zan was searching everywhere for Lin Qingli,

his big darling came knocking again.

Lin Qingli: "Um... something unexpected happened."

Jiang Zan: "I understand. You lost your luggage and need a place to stay. You can stay as long as you like!"

Lin Qingli: "..."

P.S.:

The bottom is in very poor health at the beginning, extremely poor, but he'll get better later.

It's a sweet story, guaranteed sweet. If it's not sweet, I'll eat bitter melon.

Focused on everyday life, focused on everyday life. There's nothing particularly thrilling.

It's really just a story about a laid-back guy taking care of his health and falling in love along the way.

Theme: I'm not educated, but I have a good character!

Sweet Stories with Mutual Devotion

I like to keep things balanced, though this list leans toward strong/weak pairings. Kinks: nonhuman characters and size differences. Mostly lighthearted slice-of-life. No top- or bottom-focused preferences. I avoid melodrama, groveling exes, and harems centered on one character.
