Don’t Try to Scare Me

A scheming, powerful top who gets along with both yin and yang × a sweet, soft little ghost who can switch from innocent to devious and back again

1

Tan Qiusheng owns a funeral home in the underworld. He can cremate ghosts when business is good and help them claim lives when things go badly. He thrives in both the human world and the underworld.

No one knows that he is an unabashed lover of cute things. He likes anything adorable.

After moving into his new home, he heard a sudden knock at the door one night. A thick aura of the dead seeped into the house.

Tan Qiusheng was thrilled. It had been ages since a ghost had come right to his door. But when he opened it, he froze.

A sweet-faced boy looked at him with teary eyes and a soft voice. “My family kicked me out. Could I stay here for one night?”

Tan Qiusheng’s expression didn’t change as he put away his soul-catching rope. “Sure.”

His inner thoughts: A cute ghost! I’m in!

Tao Cheng was raised as a little ghost and kept confined to the tiny grounds of the Tao family’s old home. Then one day, he discovered that he could move farther than before, all the way to the house next door.

Tao Cheng couldn’t wait to escape his prison, so he knocked on his neighbor’s door.

Once he got inside, all he had to do was force the neighbor to help him get revenge. Perfect plan.

A few seconds later, Tao Cheng, who had been trying to scare him, was carried out of the kitchen and set on a barstool.

Tao Cheng bared his teeth and brandished his claws. “Aren’t you afraid of me?”

Tan Qiusheng handed him some warmed sweet milk. “I am. Drink your milk and don’t run off.”

Tao Cheng: “...Okay.”

The milk was sweet and delicious, but wasn’t his neighbor’s reaction to being scared a little strange?

● One-on-one romance, happy ending, each other’s first love.

● The love interest is soft, adorable, and sweet. If that’s not your thing, please don’t read. And don’t come in saying he’s like a girl. That’s disrespectful to both him and girls. There’s no one right way to be, and every kind of personality can be wonderful.
