The main story is not in first person. This is a whole package of melodramatic wealthy-family drama, affair-partner drama, and a brainless harem story with a false young master taking the throne. Readers who are possessive, beware.
This is my third time around.
I know I'm the fake young master and vicious male supporting character in a story set at an elite academy. To win over the male leads, I frame the innocent real young master, the protagonist, and commit all manner of evil.
In the end, the truth comes out. With terminal-stage cancer, I'm thrown out of the house. In the first life's ending, the protagonist's group plots to drown me in a remote wilderness pond, and everyone celebrates my death.
After being reborn for the second time, I become even more interested in the innocent young master.
I give him expensive gifts, teach him to ride, tutor him, take him to learn piano, and drive out of the academy everyone who bullies him.
I confess to him, and he nods shyly, looking sweet and foolish.
Watching him fall for me, willingly give up his inheritance, and become the most useful weapon in my hands.
Hah. What an idiot.
I know those privileged young masters better than anyone. They're just too wary, so it takes a lot of effort to earn their trust and become their most trusted ally. Then they expose their weaknesses to me with ease.
Business loopholes, marriage-alliance scandals, secrets from both sides of the law: some they hand over themselves, others I scheme and arrange. Every last one sends them plunging into an abyss.
I only want them to let their guard down around me, but the looks they give me grow more and more cloying and disgusting.
At last, before my terminal illness takes hold, I kill every one of them and achieve a total-wipeout ending.
They are in a pitiful state. Even as they die, they stare at me in disbelief, unable to accept betrayal by the person closest to them.
I wake up for the third time.
When they look at me with those complicated, hateful eyes, I know they remember everything too. But it doesn't matter anymore.
They still hate me and are happy to watch me suffer, but when I cover my mouth to cough, they nervously clutch my fingers.
As if they are looking at a precious porcelain object about to fall and shatter.
Since death can't be undone, I decide to follow the plot.
Revenge or torment, it doesn't matter. I just want to live my own life before I die.
I don't want anything anymore.
The main story is not in first person. The love interest is bad but not stupid, and has some morals, though not many.
There is an O-Alpha in the early story who will undergo a second differentiation later. This is required by the plot: no weak Alphas and no reversal of the sexual roles. The author is uncomfortable with that.
Contains a lethal dose of affair-partner-taking-the-top-spot drama, an Alpha who says, "You don't like my pheromones, so I specially bought fragrant body lotion from my cousin, showered, and lay in my best buddy's arms smelling lovely, but we're just best buddies," a straight Alpha; a seemingly innocent character who is secretly wicked and thinks victory is assured, but actually has no moves left; and a black-hearted younger brother who steals his older brother's ID to order a custom Dr. Diamond ring for himself.
As the blurb suggests, the plot is melodramatic. Recommended for readers without trigger points. Please don't read if you're going to nitpick or give writing advice.

He still acts recklessly, but the chivalrous spirit fostered in him during his youthful Odyssey taught him only to stand up to the powerful. It would never allow him to do anything unjust or unkind to the weak.
