Can't Help but Love

Blurb: When late-night dorm conversations turn to high school crushes, Jian Senyu always gets frustrated with her roommates for not confessing first. She cannot understand why they hold back, and even boldly declares that if she ever likes someone, she will never pine in secret. She will make her feelings known. During the summer break of her sophomore year, Jian Senyu moves in with her older brother and falls for his dazzling, composed roommate, who is also the founder of their partner company. She hears her brother say that if a girl he does not like confesses to him, he will immediately cut off all contact with her. Jian Senyu is not afraid. She believes she is the exception. When her brother's friends start egging her on, she gathers her courage and is about to confess, but hears him laugh and say, "Don't mess around. Jian Senyu is Jian Yan's little sister, and she's my little sister too." At that moment, Jian Senyu is afraid. She becomes the coward she once despised, guarding her feelings in silence. After graduation, Jian Senyu hears from her brother that he is going to marry someone else. She can no longer hold it in and breaks down crying in front of him. "Brother Pei Ji, I really like you. Could you not get married? Could you try liking me?" Pei Ji holds Jian Senyu close, swallowing his heartache, and says softly, "Jian Senyu, why didn't you tell me sooner?" Notes: 1.
