A proud young master who pretends not to care but secretly does, later a steady and dependable husband, attacks VS a kind, guileless, resilient little wife
Lu Liu is a poor soul. Orphaned young, he gets by in the Lu household by being honest, hardworking, and willing to do extra work.
Then one day, the Lu family brings home a down-on-his-luck young master from a wealthy family to be their live-in son-in-law.
Everyone in the village says Liu-ge'er's hard days are finally over. The man is tall and handsome, and stands like an official. He looks capable.
Who could have guessed that the young master would be fussy about everything, from food and clothes to travel and lodging? He argues with the family all day, can't stand his husband's meek, long-suffering nature, and turns the household upside down.
The Lu family's uncles regret taking him in. The aunts and older female cousins cry that they should never have brought him home. He's a lazy good-for-nothing who won't lift a finger, and what good is holding on to his indenture papers?
The villagers say poor, hardworking, obedient Liu-ge'er. His life won't get any better. What a hard lot he's been dealt!
After hearing all this, the long-suffering Lu Liu thinks it over. Ever since Yao Zheng arrived, he's had enough to eat. He doesn't have to wear castoff clothes from his uncles anymore, and he gets new fabric even when it's not a holiday. His hemp shoes have been replaced with soft, warm cloth shoes. They've moved out of that dilapidated mud-brick hut, and he's eating and sleeping so well that he's even grown taller!
“Is this what a good life is supposed to be like?”
At the time, Lu Liu is lying in Yao Zheng's arms. When he asks, the man wraps an arm around his waist and gives his chin a firm peck. “My little young master, I promise our life will only get better and better!”
Lu Liu feels the satin quilt beneath him, looks at the jade ornaments in the room, and basks in the warmth of the heated floor. He snuggles closer into Yao Zheng's arms and smiles contentedly.
“How is this a hard lot? It's actually pretty sweet~”
(Extra scene)
?When the son-in-law first arrived, he couldn't do a thing, didn't know one grain from another, expected clothes to be handed to him and meals brought to him, and wouldn't even open his mouth when the food arrived (because it tasted awful).
Liu-ge'er: You rest. I'll cook. How about I boil you some duck eggs?
Yao Zheng: Boil three!
?Later, the son-in-law can wash clothes, cook, feed the chickens and ducks, repair the house, hunt, and work up in the mountains and down by the river. He can do it all, though he does get hurt sometimes.
Liu-ge'er hugs him, heartbroken, and cries: I'm used to doing all this work. You're a young master. You shouldn't have to do it. Let me take care of it.
Yao Zheng: You rest. I'll do it. You're my little young master. I'll look after you for the rest of my life, all right~

2. A light, sweet story
--Upcoming novel: Married to My Childhood Betrothed, and Now I Can't Get Enough of Him--
(The seme is unwilling at first, then talks himself into it; the uke is gentle and patient, knows how to care for people, and unintentionally reels his seme in.)
When Song Changlin was ten, he heard that a man in the village had taken a husband. Even when they invited him to the wedding feast, he refused to go, shouting, “When I grow up, I'm going to marry a wife! I won't go watch some husband get married!”
When Song Changlin was twenty, a twist of fate brought him home with a husband.
Every day, he gazed up at the sky and wept inwardly. Oh, Heaven, I wanted a wife! Not a husband!
But after the wedding, his parents were delighted every day and couldn't praise their capable new son-in-law enough.
Everyone in the village had something nice to say when they saw him. “Song, you really struck gold. He Miao is a good kid. He can handle everything inside and outside the house!”
His friend looked envious. “How are you so lucky? You got such a handsome husband. And on top of being handsome, he's gentle. And on top of being gentle, he can read. And on top of reading, he's a great cook...”
Song Changlin cut him off indignantly. “All right, all right! If I gave you this kind of luck, would you want it?”
Maybe the people around him had been influencing him without his noticing. As time passed, Song Changlin found himself wondering as he looked at his husband, Why does everyone like He Miao so much? What's so special about him? It's not like he's just good-looking, fair-skinned, graceful, gentle, patient, caring, and popular...
Before He Miao married into the family, he already knew Song Changlin didn't want a husband. After the wedding, he understood it even more clearly, but he still followed the rules for a new husband, taking care of his spouse, respecting his in-laws, and managing the household.
He thought, Although my husband doesn't like me, he respects me, at least. We can still make this life work.
But gradually, he noticed that Song Changlin was looking at him differently. When he went up the mountain, Song Changlin carried his basket. When he cooked, Song Changlin helped him. When he went to wash clothes, Song Changlin snatched them away and did it himself. When he made the bed for the night, the two quilts had become one.
He Miao was confused. “Did we run out of money and sell the other quilt?”
Song Changlin blushed and shook his head. “I want us to consummate our marriage.”
He Miao: ?
At first
He Miao: Cooking, washing, and doing everything around the house
Song Changlin: You'd really give me this kind of luck? I don't want it!
Later
He Miao: Breathing
Song Changlin (overcome with passion): What a masterful move!
Theme: Cherish the bonds you share, and you can find happiness.

The progress of the husband and wife is +1. If his thoughts are still so foolish and filial and cannot be changed in the future, then it will be really annoying that iron cannot become steel. It will be quite annoying to see.
This trick works well. Will they finally make their first pot of gold?
