Lilac grew up living with her mother.
When she was little, her mother would kiss her forehead each night and whisper in her ear.
"Lilac, you must become a swift."
So, still too young to understand, she made a promise.
"Mom, I'll become a swift."
And so she spread her wings and flew toward a distant place beyond her reach. It seemed nothing and no one could make her fold her wings and return to the ground, except death.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Swift."
Until she found a cliff where she could finally make her home.
