Anyone who has spent a long time in the wizarding world knows what sort of family the Nightingales are.
They came from Greece, bringing their beautiful voices with them.
But few know the story behind it:
Aedon, daughter of Pandareus, was the wife of Zethus, king of Thebes. They had a daughter, Itylus. One day, Aedon accidentally killed her daughter Itylus. From then on, Aedon was consumed by endless grief and guilt. Out of pity, the gods turned her into a nightingale. Ever since, the nightingale has mourned her daughter with its cries every night.
Many years later, Itylus returned to the world of the living through reincarnation. Aedon, transformed into a nightingale, soon recognized her daughter and followed her day and night, singing without pause. Itylus learned the nightingale's song and called herself Itylus Nightingale.
This is the origin of the Nightingales. They are Itylus's descendants.
Of course, through the changes and evolution of nature, no ability is without purpose, and that includes their voices. They were born with them, and they are their greatest weapon.
Shh... Allow me to leave you with a little mystery. I'm sure we'll unravel it together soon.
Sapphire is fascinated by her ancestors' story, and here I will write the story that belongs to Sapphire.
My dear, it's a long story. Please let me tell it to you slowly.
*The characters belong to Rowling. Any out-of-character portrayals are my own.
*I'm not a great writer. If you don't like my story, that's fine, and I welcome suggestions, but please don't attack me or Sapphire.
*The pairing isn't set. I'm the sort of writer who lets the story decide as I go.
*Updates are irregular. If I abandon the story, I'll say so. If I haven't said anything, I haven't abandoned it, so please be patient.
All right, if you're okay with everything above, then welcome to my story.
Theme: Friendship and all kinds of beautiful things can happen here.
You update one chapter and I will update another chapter~ Ahem, cough, wait, let's go and update now
Um? Why is this not recommended for viewing by those under 18? I don't think I've ever done it before... Does anyone know what this is?
