Bento-kun, Love Me One More Time

Ordinary in every way, Higashiaki-kun was forcibly bound to a System that was about to retire on an utterly ordinary day. The two of them struggle through a grueling rat race, hoping to enjoy their farewell dinner as soon as possible.

"No big deal. I just have to get back together with Mr. Bento after our divorce."

The System silently handed over an incomplete script that was still loading, gazing fondly at its fragile, silly Host.

"The black-hearted man cackled at Higashiaki-kun, who was kneeling on the ground, then released the bandage demon sealed inside him and mercilessly killed him."

"All it takes is one 'big brother,' and Nakahara Chuya would gladly give his life for that innocent, delicate girl. So Higashiaki-kun was killed by Nakahara Chuya."

"No one knew that the usually cold Kyoya Hibari had a passionate heart, and it beat only for her! So Higashiaki-kun stepped into Namimori with his left foot, then slid in and startled the girl, and got killed with a tonfa."

"The Working Emperor, Toru Amuro, had always dreamed of building an empire through sheer hard work and offering it to the woman in his heart. So when Higashiaki-kun happened to pass by and buy the empire, he got killed."

Higashiaki-kun: "I really can't even."

Watching his colleagues, allies, and rivals act completely out of character, Higashiaki-kun slammed the script shut and stared in shock.

"If I kneel down and get back together with Mr. Bento now, is it still in time?"

The couch potato wanted to give up. He didn't want to build a castle in Yokohama.

"Silly Host, stay calm! We have to hang on until the day we can have our farewell dinner!"

One day, the Port Mafia came under attack. The System was about to use the energy it had painstakingly saved to send its silly Host away, when it saw...

The delicate Higashiaki-kun take off his glasses and accurately predict every attack. Facing the enemies groaning all around him, his usually expressionless face broke into a smile.

"I am Higashiaki-kun, an utterly ordinary junior clerk in the Port Mafia's accounting department."

A thought suddenly flashed through the System's core: This couch potato was damn adorable.

1. A massive Yokohama barefoot castle-building project

2. No couples, everyone's single, except those with canon pairings
