Publicly Funded Romance on a Breakup Variety Show

Fu Lan, the leader of one of the country's top boy bands, and Song Lian, its lead dancer, had a love affair that shook the world.

From staged couple promotions to openly acknowledging their relationship, they topped the charts as the country's hottest CP for three years.

Then, on the day the group disbanded, Song Lian skipped the press conference, Fu Lan kept a stony face the whole time, and fans even noticed he had taken off their matching rings.

Their CP was over. Song Lian deleted all his Weibo posts overnight, and from then on, he and Fu Lan never spoke again.

Years later, the country's first breakup reality show invited them both to join.

Before filming.

Song Lian: "Heh. If the company hadn't arranged it, who'd want to take part?"

Fu Lan: "Getting back together is impossible. Going back to an ex would be too embarrassing."

On the first day they met.

Fu Lan saw Song Lian's eyes reddened, and his expression instantly turned cold. "If your waist is injured, don't push yourself. Couldn't you let me carry the suitcase?"

Song Lian: "Thanks. I just chopped onions, you know."

Fans all knew that Fu Lan had been the one dumped back then, so he must have hated Song Lian with all his heart.

They expected to see the two of them sniping at each other, but instead...

Song Lian had an immune disorder, and Fu Lan carried his medicine everywhere.

Song Lian was always cold, so Fu Lan always brought an extra coat when they went out.

Fans were stunned. "And they still won't get back together?"

Even after all these years, Fu Lan still remembered all of Song Lian's habits, and even... every sensitive spot on his body.

In the dead of night, Fu Lan's hands clasped Song Lian's slender yet strong waist again and again, and he kissed the curve of his ear suggestively.

"I've done so much for you. Don't you think it's time you showed some sincerity and paid me back?"

After the show aired, the two instantly became the CP that fans most wanted to see reunite. Netizens suspected they were playing it up too much, willing to do anything for publicity.

Unexpectedly, just minutes later, Fu Lan posted a clarification on Weibo.

Fu Lan V: I've always been sincere about wanting to pursue him.
