Crossing the Line [Entertainment Industry]

The night Wen Ji left Xie Hansheng a breakup text, Xie Hansheng was on set, coaching his rumored lover through a scene.

He saw the message, tossed his phone aside without a care, and lit a cigarette, his expression cool and indifferent.

"Just a friend I don't know very well throwing a tantrum."

"They'll get over it by tomorrow."

Later, at a film festival.

Wen Ji stepped out of a luxury car, his new boyfriend attentively holding an umbrella beside him. He raised his aloof yet frivolous eyes and glanced at Xie Hansheng, who had waited for him all night in the rain, eyes rimmed red. A faint, mocking smile played on his lips.

"Long time no see, Mr. Xie."

"Surely you're not so confused that you're still hung up on your so-called 'friend'?"

[Reading Guide]

1. Top actor gong x substitute actor shou, older man/younger man. The leads are eight years apart, unrelated, and not on the same household register. Before the shou came of age, their relationship was purely familial, with no intimate contact.

2. Classic melodramatic groveling arc. The shou suffers, and the gong is a scumbag.

3. Both are sexually inexperienced. The shou is hurt first, then the gong. During the groveling arc, the shou will be with someone else. No switching love interests. Happy ending.
