#Little Scene#

Shen Shuchen flipped through Wei Bai's personnel file and scoffed. "Can that delicate little frame of his stand up to a bandit's fists, each as big as a cooking pot?"

Then, on Wei Bai's very first day:

Shen Shuchen: "A mind that sharp needs protecting! Put him under special protection!"

A month after Wei Bai arrived:

Shen Shuchen: "We both breathe through two nostrils, so how come his nose is so much sharper than mine?"

Later on:

Shen Shuchen: "Wei Bai, darling, smell my new shampoo. Does it smell nice?"

Wei Bai: "? What's wrong with you?"

Main couple: A gentle, loyal attack who seems like a stuffy old cadre but blushes the moment anyone flirts with him, paired with a beautiful, calculating, fishing-for-attention receiver who seems naive and straightforward.

Side couple: An irreverent old forensic doctor as the attack, paired with a taciturn, honest young police officer as the receiver.

(The side couple gets very little page time. If you're especially fond of their dynamic, you'll have to find your own treats!)

1. Happy ending, one-on-one. Let's keep the reading environment friendly and harmonious. No need to tell me if you drop the book.

2. Modern alternate setting. Place names and police department structures don't entirely match reality, and include the author's own inventions. Please don't overthink it.

3. The main plot is about solving cases, and the secondary plot is romance. The message is positive and uplifting; everything is for a better tomorrow.
