I Became the Lord of Monsters in Republican-Era China [Book Transmigration]

Question: What should you do if you transmigrate into a melodramatic Republican-era alternate-history romance filled with demons, monsters, and all manner of supernatural horrors, only to find you aren't the male lead or even a supporting character, but a cannon-fodder extra? Jian Chuqi: Thanks for asking~ I'm experiencing it firsthand right now, so here's my answer: I'm not scared at all. The seventh young master of the Jian family had been mentally deficient and foolish since childhood. His birth mother, a concubine, was shunned as well, suffering endless cold stares and ridicule. In the end, the Jian family drove the two of them away to a remote village in the countryside. When Jian Chuqi transmigrated into the book, he found himself in dire straits: his home was bare, and evil ghosts surrounded them, watching hungrily. Then he slowly smiled at the evil ghosts rushing toward him. Half a year later, Jian Chuqi and his birth mother were enjoying their quiet country life when a group of people unexpectedly arrived in their peaceful little village. At his first sight of Second Master Huan, Huan Muheng, Jian Chuqi was stunned by the heavy, almost pitch-black aura of baleful energy and yin energy surrounding him. He thought some monster had put on human skin and infiltrated the group disguised as a person. Only later did he realize that Huan Muheng really was human. Jian Chuqi: How interesting :) Huan Muheng seemed frail, but was demonic and dangerous, like a bewitching monster that could steal one's soul. He was undeniably beautiful, but only fit to be admired from afar. Getting one step closer felt like stepping into an abyss. Unfortunately, Jian Chuqi was very curious and wanted to get closer. Like a cat, he circled Huan Muheng, peeking at him, rubbing against him, and occasionally batting at him with his paws, determined to figure him out. Jian Chuqi: This man is strange, so strange. There's something seriously wrong with him. Huan Muheng: "..." In Huan Muheng's eyes, Jian Chuqi was like a tempting, delicious pastry, perfect for swallowing whole and savoring slowly. At first, Jian Chuqi wondered: Is this man a monster who has gained human form? Later, Jian Chuqi concluded: He's definitely a monster who has gained human form, the kind that feeds on people's vitality!
