[A plot bunny I don't know when I'll get around to writing, so I'll post it here and see what people think]
When Kenji Hagiwara was in high school, an app with the letter L as its icon suddenly appeared on his phone.
Curious, he opened it.
And got a faceful of pants.
But he thought it was pretty interesting, so he happily started hanging around in all sorts of fandoms and did quite well for himself.
A few fics he'd casually written became popular, and he became a well-known fandom creator.
Then one day, a pigeon started an event where everyone shared a photo of themselves each day.
Just for fun, he took a picture with his childhood friend and posted it.
Then he saw the comments below:
[Wow, the Akina Mountain Drift King is in the Detective Conan fandom now too? The author can draw as well as write fic? What a god-tier creator! And the way you drew the Bomb Disposal Squad is so good, ngh!]
[Your art is amazing! But the Bomb Disposal Squad looks so young here. Judging by their ages, they probably haven't gone to police academy yet.]
[Waaah, my one true love! But if you don't mind me asking, why didn't you use the Detective Conan tag?]
[...]
Kenji Hagiwara was baffled. Following the comments, he went to look up Detective Conan.
And got a faceful of spoilers. He learned that in the future he'd attend police academy, meet three other people, and in the end, only one of the five cherry blossoms would remain.
And he would be the first to leave...
That night, he swore to his childhood friend:
He would definitely wear a bomb suit in the future! He wouldn't leave all by himself.
His curly-haired childhood friend stared at him in confusion, thinking he'd lost his mind...
In short, this is a story about Hagi relying on a bunch of pantsless, ridiculous internet commenters to save lives and kick people out of their death flags.
