[A salted fish who doesn't want to be a workaholic isn't a good partner (crossed out), teammate]
While performing a solo show in a packed stadium, Bai Yushang opens his eyes and finds himself on an old, rundown escape bus.
The System urges him to draw his starting talent and assigns a task: Make it to the first shelter alive.
Bai Yushang taps at random and gets Absolute Beauty.
Absolute Beauty: You're the most dazzling person in any crowd. Your teammates will always want to protect you, and your enemies will never have the heart to ruin your beautiful face. As long as you smile, every living thing and inanimate object will adore you.
Great. From now on, he's a beautiful salted fish.
When monsters block the bus, Bai Yushang crosses his legs and lounges lazily on the sofa. His beauty makes every monster yearn for him, yet none dares defile him.
Across from him sits a young man with a buzz cut who looks like he can really fight. He's seriously playing a game on his phone.
Strangely, every monster that swings at him misses.
The handsome buzz-cut guy looks up, his swagger skill at max: He's just an ordinary handsome guy with Absolute Luck.
Absolute Luck: You're the luckiest person in any crowd. Your teammates will always have an expert around to carry you to victory, and your enemies will never even touch your clothes. If you want something, you'll get it.
So he's just a lucky salted fish who can lie back and win.
Someone yells, "Hey, buzz cut and pink hair, can you two come help out?"
Pink-haired Bai Yushang and buzz-cut Shen Xiao exchange glances and speak in perfect unison: "You go."
Pink Hair: "I'm not going. I'll get my stage outfit dirty."
Buzz Cut: "I'm not going either. I'll get reported for idling at the fountain."
They look at each other again and reach the same conclusion in perfect harmony: Yeah, we're both determined to be salted fish. Why rush to outwork each other?
One-on-one romance: a ridiculously powerful, young, terminally lazy, cool-guy seme who thinks he's all that versus a hot-tempered beauty uke who's perfectly capable but just wants to get by on his looks.
I haven't worked out the task plot yet. I just suddenly wanted to write about two salted fish with absurdly overpowered abilities and no ambition, constantly pushing each other to work harder so they can lie back and win in an infinite survival game.
Theme: Practice is the test of truth.
