Li Xiang has a cold, rigid CEO for a father. After her mother died, their relationship became extremely strained. Following an argument, she unexpectedly transmigrates twenty-five years into the past.
Now, in a rundown basketball court, the younger version of her father stands in front of her, a basketball tucked in the crook of his arm. When she blocks his way, he gives her a scornful laugh.
His face is as handsome as his mouth is vicious:
"A lot of people want to hit on me. Why don't you get in line?"
Li Xiang: ...
At eighteen, Li Yan is carefree and fearless, the popular king everyone adores.
But now, a girl a head shorter than him is glaring at him and scolding him:
"Dad! Is that really something you should say?!"
Li Yan: ???
It takes him a while to realize that, holy crap, he really is her dad.

Only after transmigrating does Li Xiang find out that her father wasn't born a CEO. This year, he's so broke he can barely scrape together a living. He lives in an alley on North Street and even carries a pager in his pocket.
Li Xiang thinks she's rebellious, but who could have guessed her dad is the real rebel? Everything the forty-five-year-old Li forbids his daughter from doing, the eighteen-year-old Li takes her along to do.
One scorching summer night, Li Yan drags her over a wall to mooch a late-night snack at a neighbor's air-conditioned home.
Li Yan takes her to set up a street stall, saying they'll earn their first pot of gold. Instead, the two of them end up running for their lives from the urban management officers.
They skip their holiday homework, then spend the night before school starts copying each other's work with dark circles under their eyes.
They agree to go catch fish in the river together. In the end, she catches nothing, while he catches her.
And he still isn't done causing trouble. One day, Li Yan says to her earnestly, "It'd be such a waste not to date at your age. How about I find you a boyfriend?"
Li Xiang: ???
Li Xiang used to think her eighteen-year-old dad would never act his age. Then, one day, someone comes looking for trouble with her, and Li Yan immediately knocks him down.
The man grits his teeth and snarls, "You're so protective of her. What are you, Li Xiang's dad?"
Li Yan has one hand in his pocket and the other resting on Li Xiang's fluffy head. He grins without a care in the world.
"You got it. I'm her dad."

Everyone around North Street has heard about Li Yan, the famous genius, and the ill-tempered little girl who's started hanging around him. People all say she won't last long before the alley's little gang kicks her out.
But later, they see Li Yan, usually so sharp-tongued and calculating, lowering his head obediently while the girl pinches his waist and gives him a scolding.
He looks aggrieved, but there's a smile at the corner of his mouth.
After that, everyone says there's only one rule in the North Street alleys: you can offend anyone you like, but never Li Xiang.
She's the only one who can keep Li Yan in line!
