This Villain Isn't Even Acting, Someone Should Investigate

After Shu Li dies, she transmigrates into a detective game and inhabits 999 criminal NPCs, experiencing the lives of criminals 999 times. The villain System approves of her terrible luck and binds her to play a villain in an entertainment-industry novel.

When she opens her eyes again, Shu Li has become a D-list actress hated by the entire internet. Before she can take on her villain role, a script is thrust in front of her.

The role is one Shu Li accepted before transmigrating: a voyeuristic serial killer. No one else would play such a criminal, so the role fell to her, a disposable actress, and the whole internet is waiting to laugh at her.

Bound by contract, she has no choice but to act.

Shu Li: A criminal? She's more than familiar with this, after 999 rounds of experience.

While everyone else is acting, she goes all in. Using the psychotic serial killer she last transmigrated into as her model, she gives a completely authentic performance. No technique, just raw emotion.

Then she leaves the director stunned, terrifies the cast, alarms the police, and sends the whole internet into a frenzy.

[That creepy, deranged smile Shu Li gave before killing someone almost made me pee myself! Wasn't her acting supposed to be terrible?!]

[Waaah, I'm scared to walk alone at night now. Shu Li turned a thriller into a true-crime documentary. When did she get so good?]

[As someone who's been behind a sewing machine, I can say a criminal's mannerisms don't lie. She's the real deal!]

[Shu Li doesn't look like she's acting! The authorities need to investigate her!]

And so Shu Li successfully reaches the top of the trending searches, with the keywords: Shu Li, way too real, investigate her.

At last, the authorities respond: They already investigated her because they were suspicious. Comrade Shu Li not only obeys the law, she has also helped the police solve major cases.

Netizens: ?!?!

That night, everyone sees that Shu Li has changed her Weibo profile picture to an honorary pennant.

Netizens: She's amazing! Sister Li has a protective charm now!

From then on, Shu Li becomes a go-to villain actress. Others think she's acting from a script, but in reality she's revisiting those 999 firsthand experiences: a wealthy heiress who lives above the law, an antisocial robber, a mentally ill person with an obsessive need for control, a sweet-faced kidnapper with a dark side, a silver-tongued beauty who swindles people...

Later, Shu Li stands on the highest awards podium, holding a golden statuette. Her new fans are always worrying she'll get arrested, while her longtime fans calmly cheer and applaud. The police even use clips of her performances in anti-terrorism public service videos.

Shu Li: Who'd have thought? I only wanted to play a villain, and somehow I became a Best Actress.
