[Touken Ranbu] Sanmitsuru: A Century's Wait for Your Return

This citadel has never welcomed Tsurumaru Kuninaga.

At the 17,501st complaint from their master, Mikazuki smiled warmly.

"Then, allow me to go find him."

And so, accompanied by several others, Mikazuki Munechika left the citadel.

Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, the citadel's first sword who knew the truth behind it all, had never understood Mikazuki's thinking.

This citadel had been taken over midway through its existence. In other words, before their current master, they had once served another lord.

Back then, the citadel had a Tsurumaru Kuninaga.

That Tsurumaru Kuninaga was later broken by his lord on his deathbed. And that former lord was slain by Mikazuki Munechika himself.

...That had happened a hundred years ago.

Watching the beautiful figure's carefree, proud back, Yamanbagiri Kunihiro suddenly remembered that today marked one hundred years since Tsurumaru Kuninaga's blade was broken.

As if he had been waiting there all along, Mikazuki arrived in that era, rode a galloping horse, and swung his blade to cut down the Time Retrograde Army. Then he held out a hand, and a pure white figure fell into his arms.

A hundred years ago, the pale blade, as if it might vanish at any moment, smiled with wild abandon.

"Mikazuki Munechika, I'll come back a hundred years from now. Don't think you can get rid of me."

A hundred years later, looking at the blade frozen in shock, Mikazuki smiled beautifully.

"Tsurumaru, let's go."

What does it matter if you don't remember how we clashed back then?
