Synopsis

Ji Chenjiao used to have the same dream over and over. In it, he was someone else, with another name, carrying out a mission he had never undertaken.

He couldn't make out the person's face, but deep in his subconscious, a voice told him, That's you. Your name is...

The major crimes team took on a murder case. A middle-aged man had been killed in an old house, and Ling Lie, a strange tenant, became the sole suspect.

As they worked together on the case and grew closer, Ji Chenjiao gradually discovered that he and Ling Lie seemed to share a name.

“A-Dou, why are you always the lucky one? Why must the only salvation I ever found be taken away from me too?”

“The curse of blood ties doesn't apply to every individual.”

Notes:

Ji Chenjiao [major crimes team leader] × Ling Lie [special division member]

Ji Chenjiao and Ling Lie are not related by blood or legally related in any way.

Episodic cases plus a central plot. The entire police force is righteous. Set in a fictional city.

Theme: You can change your life through your own efforts.

BL Novel Reading Log

CPJ prefers the bottom. No bashing the other half of the ship, no opposing ships, and no yumejoshi content. Any genre is fine, but I can't handle male pregnancy.

Pure-Love Mystery and Detective Fiction

I like episodic stories. No particular order. My favorite pairings have mutual doting, with the receiving partner getting a bit more affection. I also like relationships where both sides get equal attention.

For Myself: I Love Shipping Couples, Especially Bottoms

Give me all the beautiful-but-broken bottoms, cute bottoms, and adored, strong bottoms! Dealbreakers: promiscuous tops and side characters who like the top. Bonus points if the bottom isn't the top's first partner, or if the bottom is mildly popular with everyone.

Crime Investigation

A few detective and crime investigation stories I've read. I've been blocked from giving five stars, so assume they're all five-star reads unless otherwise noted. Recommendations welcome, as long as the characters have at least average intelligence.

Crime Investigation and Mystery Fiction

These are crime and suspense novels I personally love. The plots unfold logically, the protagonists are smart, and the characters’ sexual orientations vary.

A Little of Everything: My Private Reading List

I’ll read anything. I prefer couples who dote on each other, but I can put up with any character setup if the story calls for it. Don’t judge me. I’m into both top- and bottom-focused stories, all kinds of kinky stuff, and lately I’ve been especially fond of stories with a male top.

Only Pure Romance, 1V1 ①

Fans of any character, extreme purity police, author fans or haters, and book fans or haters, stay away! Some are melodramatic, but they're suited to girls who simply enjoy reading novels.

Crime Investigation with Two Male Leads

Crime investigation novels I've read. Some were so long ago that I can only review them from vague memories. I'm leaving out well-known titles like Poyun, Silent Reading, and Criminal Psychology.
