A bitterly cold winter day. Jiang Zhi is surrounded in an alley with no way out.
A boy passes by and throws his cigarette butt at one of them. He spits out a cold, "What are you doing?"
The group is terrified.
The boy catches sight of a pair of panicked eyes, then casually looks away.

From the first day Jiang Zhi met him, she knew they weren't cut from the same cloth.
He lived among the red-light district's bustle, carefree and at ease.
Later, she stumbled upon his secret. With a cigarette between his lips, the boy grabbed her and yanked her into a dark alley. He narrowed his eyes at her. Jiang Zhi thought she was in danger, but all he said was, "Don't let me see you again."
Jiang Zhi left the alley, glancing back again and again.
She saw him throw an empty liquor bottle at her.
Frightened, Jiang Zhi immediately ran away.
Later, people said Chen Yan had broken his own rules for a good student.
His friend looked at Chen Yan as he exhaled a cloud of smoke, gazing at that slender figure. He lowered his eyes and chuckled. "Too pure."
Years later, Jiang Zhi knelt in the Hall of Marriage at Wutai Mountain. "In summer, I look forward to winter snow; inland, I long for the sea breeze. Just like I still hope to have Chen Yan by my side."
After half a lifetime of hardship, she prayed to be joined to one person.
On her way down the mountain, she saw the boy from back then standing at its foot. His friend laughed and pointed at her. "Yan, what a coincidence. Your white moonlight's here."
Chen Yan turned and looked at Jiang Zhi.
Under the blazing summer sun, with wind passing through the treetops, Chen Yan turned and held out a cigarette.
Someone asked him, "What is a white moonlight?"
"She stands high above, on a sacred altar. I pray only that she may live her whole life free of worry."
The synopsis is angsty, but the story itself is very sweet.
P.S. I'm no good at writing synopses.
