Synopsis:
Ye Ling has a hobby she has kept up for an exceptionally long time: playing farming games.
She has played every farming game available in the app store, and hasn't missed the farming games on Pinduoduo, Taobao, and JD.com. She has even played Ant Forest on Taobao for years. Unfortunately, after playing for so long, she realized that they were always missing something.
Then, without warning, the end of the world arrived. As she listened to the farming game's loading notification reach one hundred and looked at a farm bigger than her school's sports field, she wondered: Is this real? Does it belong to me?!!!
For a moment, she didn't know whether to worry about the future or rejoice over finally getting the portable farm she had dreamed of for so long.
However, before she could figure out the rules of the farming game, she accidentally became a cannon-fodder character who died right at the start of the apocalypse.
Reborn, Ye Ling looked at her even larger farm this time and wanted nothing more than to hurry home to find her parents, play her farming game, and enjoy a life as blissful as a god's.
One day, Ye Ling and her family sat in their cozy little home, eating hot pot and drinking sweet, delicious juice. A fluffy little companion she could pet sat nearby, and from time to time they checked the national gaming forum.
Meanwhile, the forum was buzzing with posts:
"Damn it, why did my sweet potatoes wilt again? Looks like I'll be eating grass this month!"
"My apple tree has borne fruit. This time they're finally up to 50 grams each. I'll trade them for fertilizer if anyone wants some."
"A cause for universal celebration! My farm has finally gone from dilapidated to ordinary!"
"Help, my farm has suddenly got five weird people in it, and the game says they're my subjects?? Can one of the experts explain what's going on?"
Ye Ling read the posts, then looked at her own farm, which had already become a village, and the thousands of subjects busy producing goods. She smiled with satisfaction.
Later, while Ye Ling was playing, before her farm had even reached the highest level, she discovered that the apocalypse was already over and their world had successfully evolved. Now that was truly cause for universal celebration!!!
