What Are the Odds That My Ex and My Current Boyfriend Are Best Friends?

This story is also titled: What Are the Odds That My Online Ex and My Current Boyfriend Are Best Friends? Are They Really Not Trying to Run a Honey Trap on Me?

Two years ago, I had an online boyfriend. After I updated LINE, I lost our contact information. Since I didn't know his address or phone number, I naturally assumed we'd broken up.

After all, he never came looking for me either.

To keep history from repeating itself, I asked my new boyfriend for his phone number and address.

He happily gave them to me and said he'd take me to meet his best friend.

But why did his best friend's profile picture look exactly like my ex-boyfriend's?

Then I heard him say, "Tachibana-san, it seems like you know me~"

I noticed my boyfriend's expression change slightly and gave an awkward but polite smile.

What on earth was going on? My current boyfriend and my ex were best friends?!
