Tales from the Underworld Kitchen

There is a food stall in the Underworld, run by Wan Niang, a female ghost who died unjustly.

Most ghosts who died unjustly have hideous faces, but she is one of the most beautiful in all the Underworld.

She is kind to everyone, but treats the grim reaper Wuxin with indifference, as if she is avoiding him.

The most powerful grim reaper in the Underworld is Wuxin.

His real name is unknown. He is called Wuxin because his heart was indeed cut out.

It is said that he once had a body of purple gold and an exquisite heart, but later traded them to Fengdu for something else.

He keeps his face covered with black gauze and walks alone, never associating with anyone. He is only somewhat gentle with Wan Niang.

Wuxin has no memories, but whenever he eats Wan Niang's cooking, he sees visions that seem to be from his past.

Before he can fully remember, however, disaster strikes:

Wan Niang uses the one hundred thousand merit points she saved up to repay him for saving her life, then sets off for reincarnation. She cries all the way, saying, "I really want to see Yan Lang one more time."

That's right. She set up a stall in the Yellow Springs to earn merit points so she could find out what had happened to her husband, Yan Xun.

After regaining his memories, Wuxin kneels beneath the Rebirth Platform, unable to rise, his eyes nearly bursting with anguish.

He remembers: he is Yan Xun.

After more than ten lifetimes, Su Yiwan is reincarnated with the ability to see ghosts.

Now, she is the proprietress of a restaurant run by the Underworld, while Yan Xun is the legal representative of the Underworld's Human Realm Division.

Su Yiwan senses something is going on and asks him, "Mr. Yan, are you pursuing me?"

Yan Xun admits, "I am."

"You don't have to pursue me. Please be my boyfriend, Yan Xun."
