Dating the World's Number One Assassin

Moriki Erina had suspected something was off about this world, but she hadn't realized just how off it was.

One day, she got drunk, felt a sudden childish whim come over her, and, struck by a burst of inspiration, wrote a nonsensical, angst-ridden coming-of-age story called My Boyfriend Is the World's Greatest Hitman.

The very next day, a strange little baby showed up at her door.

"Ciaos~ I'm the world's greatest hitman, and I'm your future boyfriend."

The kid didn't even reach her knees. He wore a finely tailored suit and a top hat. Moriki Erina fell silent for a moment, then took out her phone and asked, "Hello. Do you need me to call the police or your kindergarten teacher?"

Erina later learned that the book she'd casually picked up by the roadside while drunk that day was a magical object called the Book, which could make anything written in it come true.

Remembering the angst-ridden coming-of-age stories she'd written, Erina couldn't help covering her face.

Let's not talk about it. Despair says it all.

Reborn: "...So what exactly did you write in it?"

Erina choked out, "It's complicated to explain. Just prepare yourself to spend every day gazing sadly up at the sky at a forty-five-degree angle."

Reborn: "..."

A sweet story dedicated to my beloved teacher, haha.

Still going for a silly, lighthearted vibe.

The cover art was a gift from BS, haha.

Theme: Peace matters most.
