[The novel will be free to read soon. Please enter with caution, and I'm very sorry.
I really couldn't keep writing, and wanted to get myself back on track. While revising the whole story, I suddenly understood why I had gotten stuck and couldn't write anymore.
It was because I had made the worldbuilding too expansive. You can tell just from the title and blurb that I intended this to be a wish-fulfillment, feel-good, comedy novel. When I first started, I expected it to be no more than 400,000 words.
But after I finished outlining it, I realized I'd expanded the world so much that I couldn't describe it all in just a few tens of thousands of words.
After the Elven prophecy arc, there's the Demon Deity Desman arc. After that comes Xiu's personal storyline, then the human arc with Carl, the origins of the Divinely Favored race, and the story of how the Light God and A Cao transmigrated. Finally, there's the ending, where the Demon Dragon is defeated and the hero becomes king. I might also need to weave in stories about all eleven races along the way.
It definitely has the feel of a wish-fulfillment, feel-good novel, but it's obvious that this plot would take a million words to finish.
I've never written a million-word epic before, and my writing skills aren't enough to tell all these stories in full. So whenever I sit down to write, I have to think through so much that I don't know where to start or how to connect the scenes.
I hesitated for a long time, always thinking I should try a little harder and write a little more. I thought about speeding up the plot and finishing quickly, and so on.
But then I realized that if I had the writing skills to control the pacing precisely, I wouldn't have gotten stuck in the first place.
I talked it over with friends. As much as I hate to let go, and as much as I wanted to give this story a perfect ending and see A Cao ascend the throne, I finally decided not to waste everyone's time. I can't make so many readers wait for me.
So I'm very sorry. This novel will be released for free three months from now. (The process of making it free requires a three-month wait.)
Once it's free, I'll post the outline of what comes next. That's my way of giving this story, which has kept me company for a while, an ending.
That way, everyone can also learn roughly where the story was headed and what would have happened.
Thank you all for keeping me company during this time. Because of my own circumstances, I couldn't finish this story in full, and I'm truly very sorry.]
When it comes to bad luck, even drinking water can make you choke, and even walking down the street can get you hit by something.
Yu Chaoge had been in this other world for more than half a month since she transmigrated, and she still hadn't had a mental breakdown. She credited that to her strong inner self.
Wearing a fake smile, she waved goodbye to the beginner village, which was full of things to complain about. Before Yu Chaoge could get herself ready to face an unfamiliar world alone, a system notification sounded in her ear:
[Beep! An amnesiac hero has collapsed by the roadside. You choose:]
[A. Help him up]
[B. Ignore him]
[C. Kill him]
[D. Censor him]
Yu Chaoge: ...
She really didn't want to complain about the game's deranged quest options anymore.
Remembering that heroes in both novels and games always ran into trouble and had to fight enemies above their level to advance, Yu Chaoge decided to ignore this hero who might bring her a lot of trouble. It was the safest choice.
But she had barely taken two steps when
[Beep! An amnesiac Demon King has collapsed by the roadside. You choose:]
[Beep! An amnesiac lackey of the Demon King has collapsed by the roadside. You choose:]
[Beep! An amnesiac Demon Dragon, kidnapped by the hero and forced to join his journey to subdue the Demon King, has collapsed by the roadside. You choose:]
[Beep! An amnesiac, lovesick, and deranged passerby who has a crush on the hero has collapsed by the roadside. You...]
Were the characters in this game mass-produced or something?!
Why were they all collapsed at the entrance to the beginner village? And why the hell were they all amnesiac?!!
Was amnesia a debuff everyone had to have now?!
For a moment, she didn't even know what to complain about first. Determined not to go looking for trouble, Yu Chaoge gritted her teeth and decided to ignore all the strange creatures sprawled around in the grass.
But just as she lifted her foot, before she could take a step, the System spoke again:
[Beep! The amnesiac hero wakes up.]
[Beep! The amnesiac hero mistakes you for his best friend.]
[Beep! The amnesiac hero's affection for you increases by 99!]
[Beep! The amnesiac hero forcibly adds you to his party!]
[Beep! The amnesiac Demon King mistakes you for his partner!]
[Beep! The amnesiac Demon King's affection for you increases by 99!]
Yu Chaoge: ????
Warnings:
1. A comedic adventure in another world, with monster fights, adventures, leveling up, and plenty of jokes. It has a light-novel feel.
2. The blurb and title make it clear that this is a wish-fulfillment, feel-good novel. Every plot point is there for comedy and entertainment, so please don't overthink it.
3. Everyone has a one-sided crush on the female lead. The main character won't suffer. Anyone can suffer except the main character.
4. One-on-one romance.
5. I can't think of anything else for now. That's it.
Here's a preview of my upcoming novel: Taking Off at the Crematorium After Transmigrating into a Book
Blurb:
[You've transmigrated into a book.]
A mysterious voice from a System sounded in her mind.
Lu Xia had just been in a car accident and was so badly mangled that even she couldn't bear to look at herself. She nodded gravely. "I figured as much."
[You've transmigrated into the most popular crematorium novel online.]
"I get it."
Having read novels on all sorts of websites and browsed all kinds of bizarre stories, Lu Xia understood at once. "Did I transmigrate into the heroine of a 'chasing his wife to the crematorium' story?"
"Am I supposed to follow your plot and get abused by the male lead, physically and emotionally? Then, after he's broken my heart, I decide to give up on love, "
"But then the male lead suddenly comes to his senses and realizes that I've always been the only one he loves!"
"And then we start a love-hate chase where you run and I follow?"
[No,] the System replied coldly.
[It's true that this is the most popular kind of crematorium novel online. But it's not about chasing his wife to the crematorium.]
[It's about chasing her husband to the crematorium.]
Lu Xia: "Huh?"
[Beep! The male lead will be heartbroken, give up on love, and jump from a high place in one minute. Host, please turn your head and look 45 degrees up to the left.]
Lu Xia looked up, bewildered, and did as the System said.
On her left, not far away, a man dressed in red stood on the roof of a run-down building, facing the wind.
He looked at Lu Xia with utter despair, his voice trembling as he said, "Lu Xia, you never loved me. I don't blame you."
"You treated me as a substitute for that person. I don't blame you for that either."
"If I could ask for just one thing, "
Strangely enough, even though they were so far apart, Lu Xia could clearly see a tear roll down the corner of the man's eye.
"I hope we never meet again in the next life!"
"Loving you is just too exhausting!"
With tears in his eyes, the man stood swaying on the rooftop, looking as though he might fall at any moment.
Just then, the System issued a quest.
[Beep! Tell the male lead that you love him and stop the 'chasing her husband to the crematorium' plot from happening.]
Lu Xia: "???"
She'd never done anything like that before! How was she supposed to stop him?
The System began counting down. The man swayed more and more unsteadily on the rooftop. At the most tense moment
Lu Xia had no experience comforting people and no experience with romance. Her mind was a complete mess, and the words that slipped out were: "Don't jump! You're going to be a dad!"
The man: "..."
Lu Xia: "..."
"No, wait," Lu Xia hurriedly corrected herself. "You're going to become a dad!"
The man's face turned deathly pale. He asked in a faint voice, "...Whose dad?"
Lu Xia: "..."
"As long as you damn well come down from there, you can be my dad for all I care!"
Warnings:
1. A ridiculous, over-the-top melodrama. Just read it for fun, and don't overthink it.
2. Nothing for now.
Theme: Wherever you are, face life with courage and a positive attitude.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, no!!! Such a good start, I can accept your fate! Don't give up!
As long as there are no pitfalls, fate updates are fine. Remember to come back often. Www I really like this article
Damn, have you really given up? You can also change fate, such good content (╥_╥)
My wife's writing style is really suitable for Western fantasy. Why don't you consider continuing to write another novel of the same type?
Is it really not updated? I still want to see it?????
What about the new man???? , There is no new man to be tired of
Life is so short (leopard cry)
Alas, it's a pity, but just follow your own ideas. Hehe, looking forward to the next book.
Wow wow wow, it's so hard to find a text that's so appealing to me, I'm 6-eyed
At the end of August, great, I finally have hope for my article.
