Luo Lan is a web novelist. He's not a big name, but he's had a bit of success, so he starts a cyberpunk Western fantasy novel to make the latest rankings. But just after finishing the outline, he unexpectedly transmigrates into the story, swept up in the current transmigration craze.
As soon as he arrives, he discovers that he has become a minor villainous boss in the outline, the Saint who stands in the way of the protagonist gong. What's a villain? Villains always meet tragic ends!
But Luo Lan refuses to accept that. He wants to live. He calculates every possibility, but never expects the Pope to take him in as a Saint after all. Under the Pope's watchful eye, he studies both holy magic and witchcraft, secretly builds a mutually beneficial partnership with the protagonist shou, and openly acts like an admiring, devoted fan of the Pope, cultivating the image of a little follower. Behind the scenes, he looks after the protagonist and makes sure to leave his name, so he can collect a favor later. Then he makes a big show of bringing a knight with immense power in the later chapters into his own fold.
Luo Lan thinks his plan is foolproof. He follows the outline and stirs up trouble, completely unaware that the Pope, the king (the protagonist gong), the chief wizard (the protagonist shou), and the knight are looking at him in increasingly strange ways.
Only when he's imprisoned and put through the whole play does he finally realize that relying on the outline is hopeless. He'll just wait for them to fight each other, then swoop in and reap the rewards, putting on a show of saving himself.
Since all the characters and storylines have gone off the rails, surely he can rise to the top of the world too. (Laughs)
The serious blurb, which may not be so serious after all.
-- He is a pure white rose blooming in the darkness. All the world's goodness has forged his bones, the sun, moon, and stars have shaped his form, and an intense, rotting love has stained the corners of his eyes and his lips red.
-- He is both pure and fallen, both the most beautiful and the most enticing. The deepest sins nourish him, making him sway in the wind and beguile the world.
People can't help wanting to lock him away on a high shelf, pluck this white rose into their own hands, stain this pure little bird with their own colors, or lay their deepest love before him, all for the sake of a single glance.
The purest, and the most wicked.
A note from the author:
-- The protagonist is adored by everyone, but he really does have his own charms. It's satisfying without being awkward. He has a golden finger, but it's not very powerful, and might even be a bit of a trap. A beautiful, seductive schemer, ahh~
-- Everyone has a one-sided crush, and the gong is split into multiple versions. You'll understand why.
-- The gong may not necessarily win the shou in the end, but there is a romance, so this is listed as danmei.
-- There are too many bland stories out there, and I'm craving something, so I started this on impulse. I just want you to shout "More wives, more wives!" in the comments. If you don't want anything steamy, please look elsewhere~
-- I'll make this a really good story, so please add it to your favorites. I'm not lying to you~
