Let Him Fall (Revenge Arc)

**School life + unrequited love + chasing your ex after the breakup**

She buried the love that had run through her youth with her own hands. All he saw was a rose breaking through the earth.

Zhou Yu was an ordinary girl, in looks, family background, and grades.

She was the kind of person who would disappear into a crowd at a glance.

But this ordinary girl had a secret that made her both happy and humble.

She was in love with Song Jincheng, a carefree and dazzling star on the school's honors board.

Year after year, that love ran through her unremarkable student days, shaping every joy and sorrow.

Even though Song Jincheng's gaze never once lingered on her, even as she watched him fall in and out of one relationship after another.

But it was all right. Her unrequited love was her own secret, and she kept it carefully, never daring to cross a line.

Until graduation day, when she finally worked up the courage to sneak a look at Song Jincheng's college application.

But when she turned around, she saw Song Jincheng standing behind her, a knowing smile in his eyes that never reached them.

He had always known.

He knew she followed in his footsteps like a clown. He knew she silently traced his features while he napped. He knew she had written his name over and over in her workbook.

And still, he had said nothing, watching her make a fool of herself.

Zhou Yu cried harder than she ever had before. The usually quiet and reserved girl stood in a karaoke room, shouting "May your future be bright" over and over.

With her own hands, she buried the three years of unrequited love.

Later, Zhou Yu went to a school in the far south, wanting nothing more than to get farther and farther away from Song Jincheng.

She accepted someone else's confession and began the first relationship of her life.

At a class reunion, she raised her glass to Song Jincheng for the first time with a calm heart.

"I wish you a bright future."

But Song Jincheng suddenly went mad.

Once, Song Jincheng had personally snapped the rose Zhou Yu had prepared for him.

Back then, he never imagined that the rose he had once dismissed would one day become the cinnabar mark on his heart.

Out of reach, yet impossible to let go.

The title comes from Hebe Tien's song "Suspended Sun."

Confronting an impossible love,

he should be made to set,

just like that suspended sun.

Theme: None at present.
