[Water Margin] I Am Madam Wang

Blurb:

She woke up to find herself as Madam Wang, a woman past fifty. The same Madam Wang who brought Pan Jinlian and Ximen Qing together in Water Margin.

Ximen Qing: Madam Wang, I've taken a fancy to the young lady across the street. I beg you to arrange things for me... If you succeed, I'll give you ten taels of silver to buy yourself a shroud for your birthday

Madam Wang's face soured. She poured tea with a humorless smile. "There's no need to say more, Master. This old woman doesn't need a shroud yet."

She watched him leave, crestfallen, then splashed the leftover tea from the table onto the ground. "Pah!"

What rotten luck. She'd transmigrated into the body of a wicked old matchmaker. Wang Yao touched the round birthmark in her palm and thought with lingering fear: Thank goodness her pocket dimension came with her, or else...

Later, just before Pan Jinlian tearfully climbed into her bridal sedan, she clung to Wang Yao's hand and said reluctantly, "Thank you, Madam. If it weren't for you, I..."

Theme: A woman should stand strong and love herself first, and then she will be loved by others.
