[Pampered, jealous little dragon bottom x world-weary top forced to care for a little one]
Even before it hatched, the little dragon chose its destined partner. Its kind had always been devoted in love. Once they chose someone, nothing could ever change their minds, not even death.
Its destined one had a strong physique, a cold and stern face, and... a soft, broad chest. That was where it wanted to nest.
The man had made himself into a blade. Unable to suppress his mara-struck state, he was often tormented to the brink of death, and only being near the little one could ease his suffering a little. The problem was that the little one was demanding and ate a lot. He couldn't afford to raise it and wanted to get rid of it, but no matter what he tried, it wouldn't leave.
When the mara-struck state flared up again, Blade would sometimes turn into a cat cake at night to rest. The little one stubbornly used him as a teething toy, and when he snapped at it, it took advantage of being bigger than him in cat form, pushed him aside, and curled up inside the pastry shell.
Blade: ...Where's my sword?
One day, Blade woke up to find a green glass bead on the bed. Thinking it was useless, he tossed it to the little dragon as a toy.
The little dragon was thrilled, but accidentally swallowed it. That night, its belly glowed green. Luckily, it was picky about food, so it quickly spat out anything it didn't like.
It wanted to eat the cat cake.
Blade: Don't eat it!
A hundred years passed. Their contract was fulfilled, and they had nothing more to do with each other.
Blade returned to his solitary, cold life, but still found himself carving little wooden figurines of the hatchling out of habit.
He thought he would spend his lonely old age that way, until one day a beautiful young man with tears in his eyes came to his door. Hugging his long, pointed dragon tail, he sobbed, "D-Don't abandon me. I won't eat so much anymore, okay? You can touch my tail. It feels really nice... Waaah!"
Blade's heart softened, and the little one latched onto him all over again.
Blade, once again its caretaker, realized he'd been thoroughly duped.
But!
The little one's smile was adorable, and its voice was so soft. Just looking at it made his mara-struck state ease a little.
Under Blade's less-than-attentive care, the round little dragon finally grew into a slender, handsome young man. He smiled with his eyes crinkled, remained picky and mischievous, and often used Blade in his cat-cake form as a pillow.
Blade at first: Suspicious, bewildered, confused.
Blade later: I get it now!
(The little one who doesn't try hard will become the man's... most treasured darling!)
[An indulgent, feel-good slice-of-life story with no regard for logic. I'll do my best to keep everyone in character.
Set in the Genshin Impact universe, with romance later on. The top has a long enough lifespan to wait until the little one is grown up, and then gets wooed.]
