But then the apocalypse comes, and they can only hide underground, struggling to survive. Qiu Si is grateful that his beloved is still by his side. As long as he can live with the person he loves, there's nothing to fear.

However, one day, while his beloved is away, an army in full protective gear breaks into their underground shelter. They claim they have come to rescue him, and tell him that his beloved isn't human, but an Outer God from a horror novel he read in his original world.

An indescribable god.

Their faces full of terror, they tell Qiu Si, "It loves you deeply, but it doesn't love humanity."

"What's worse, it can split itself. Every version of it across countless parallel universes loves you."

"And there is only one of you!"

"Now they're coming. They're coming to fight over you!"

The day they descend will be the day humanity goes extinct.
