The Crown Prince's Kindergarten (Qing Dynasty)

After Yinreng is born into a new life as a chubby little baby,

he resolves to work hard to raise Kangxi's heir.

He doesn't want that ridiculous throne anyway.

The Fourth Prince can do the job just fine.

After drifting for three hundred years, he wants to conquer the stars,

not settle for chicken tails and two eggs.

The question is, how can he bring these dozen or so little brats together?

There's a pretty good kindergarten in the future. Raising the Fourth Prince is raising one child,

so he might as well raise a dozen.

If they all grow up together, their bonds can't be too bad.

With the Fourth Prince helping to look after them and keeping an eye on the mischievous First Prince,

there shouldn't be much of a problem.

At first, Kangxi thinks his precious son just needs playmates.

Later, he realizes this kindergarten has raised an army of little ones,

ready to go out and make the world sing their praises.

What can a doting father do?

Of course, support them!

Eventually, Kangxi realizes that every heir he's raised wants to go out exploring, and only then does he see that this has become a serious problem.

Yinreng: Father, there's a vast continent in the Southern Hemisphere, and kangaroos are so much fun. I'll catch one and bring it back for you to see...

Kangxi: When did I ever say I wanted to see a rat?!

First Prince: The Crown Prince says there are penguins in Antarctica! I want to see them before he does.

Kangxi: What's so interesting about seven geese?!

Third Prince: There's ore in North America!

Kangxi: Don't you like calligraphy and paintings?

The Third Prince, impatiently: Big Brother the Crown Prince said you can paint with ore. Father, you wouldn't understand.

Fourth Prince: There are diamonds in Africa.

Kangxi: Why would anyone want rocks?

Fourth Prince: Big Brother the Crown Prince said they're the hardest diamonds in the world.

Kangxi: (There aren't any.)

At last, Kangxi looks over at the Seventh Prince, who has been quietly sitting to one side. With legs that aren't even the same length, surely he won't run off too, right?

"Yinyou, come here. Tell Father where you want to go."

"I want to go to South America. I heard everyone there has long legs."

"...The Crown Prince told you that too?"

The Seventh Prince nods innocently.

Kangxi gazes up at the sky. Never mind, I can have more children. I'll just start all over again.

This time, I'll run the kindergarten myself!!!!!

The princes numbered from the Fourth onward shake their heads in unison: Father is so childish. He's even competing with Big Brother the Crown Prince for our affection.
