Song Cirou came from a wealthy family and had a sweet, lovely face. Spoiled by her parents, she developed plenty of bad habits: she was willful, domineering, pampered, and selfish.
Even so, she was the goddess in the hearts of countless boys in high school.
The boys in her class were always hanging around her. There was only one exception.
Jiang Yubai's parents died in the line of duty, and he was sent to live with his uncle's family. He'd had to watch people's moods since childhood, yet always carried himself with aloof pride. He was taciturn and bad-tempered.
Song Cirou had a bad temper too, but she wasn't a bad person. That year, she'd read plenty of self-sacrificing heroine novels and started copying them, occasionally having someone leave sandwiches, milk, fruit, and other little treats in his desk.
Only Song Cirou knew that she wasn't like the girls who were infatuated with his face. It wasn't concern, affection, or pity.
She simply wanted to see him orbiting around her like all the other boys.
Unfortunately, Jiang Yubai remained unmoved right up until graduation.

Eight years later.
After enjoying a college life in which everyone adored her, Song Cirou became even more spoiled. Having driven off her twenty-eighth blind date, she was introduced by her parents to a young man.
He was a forensic pathologist, and his difficult working conditions meant he had to endure what ordinary people couldn't.
Song Cirou's parents: "..."
After three months of dating, Jiang Yubai proved that he could indeed endure what others couldn't, and Song Cirou couldn't find fault with him. Add in that breathtaking face, and she married him just like that.
Before the wedding, Song Cirou hadn't expected much. Jiang Yubai was probably just that kind of person: he spent all day dealing with corpses, and had become cold and arrogant himself, so celibate he seemed almost religious.
Until, just before their first wedding anniversary.
She saw apples, milk, and sandwiches appear one after another on her bling-bling vanity...
"What are you doing?!!"
"You win."
Jiang Yubai pinned her against the corner of the desk. His dark phoenix eyes lowered slightly as his pale, slender fingers slowly caressed her chin, sending a tingling shiver through her. "I'm yours."
