When he was in the mecha corps, Xing Zhiyan had someone he adored in his heart.

That person was handsome and talented, shining brightly among the many mecha engineers.

Xing Zhiyan fell in love at first sight, but he only dared to keep it to himself and love him from afar.

Sometimes, taking advantage of being a mechanic, Xing Zhiyan would secretly leave a few candies in his beloved's cockpit.

But after the mission ended, news came that his beloved had died in action.

Heartbroken, Xing Zhiyan went alone to a remote border town and put up a gravestone for him.

Beside his beloved's name, he even wrote two little words: deceased husband.

Years later, the national mecha league is in full swing.

Among the mecha competitors, Xing Zhiyan sees someone who looks a lot like his beloved. His name is Chu Hechen.

Though they are completely different in both identity and personality, Xing Zhiyan can't help submitting his resume to the club.

The interviewer asks why he chose the club.

Xing Zhiyan says aloud, "I'm a devoted fan of Chu Hechen."

But in his heart, he quietly thinks: He looks so much like my deceased husband.

-

Chu Hechen has a secret.

He once changed his name and joined the mecha corps, where he met a beautiful mechanic.

To this day, he remembers the stars in the mechanic's eyes whenever he looked at him.

But before he could ask the mechanic's name, he was seriously injured and forcibly taken back home, losing all contact with him.

Now Chu Hechen realizes that the person he met is right by his side.

Chu Hechen takes Xing Zhiyan's hand and says, restrained yet tender, "I'm your beloved."

Xing Zhiyan: "?"

Chu Hechen takes out two candies.

Xing Zhiyan: "!!"

Chu Hechen even asks him, "A dead lover is a deceased husband, so what do you call a living one?"

Xing Zhiyan smiles awkwardly and whispers, "A... a husband."

*About this story:
