Ji Changxi was born into a family of practitioners of the occult.

He took an unconventional path and became a streamer.

With his knowledge of the occult, he solves his viewers' problems and earns widespread praise.

His viewers love watching him show off his skills, and love his fair complexion and gentle voice even more.

One day, just after Ji Changxi finishes streaming, he hears a thunderclap in the distance.

He follows the sound and discovers a white egg about the size of a pillow.

A local rogue immortal tells him it's a dragon egg. Whoever finds it is responsible for looking after it until it hatches.

After weighing the pros and cons, Ji Changxi decides to keep the dragon egg with him for now.

When hatching day arrives, the newborn little white dragon hasn't even opened its eyes, but it clings to Ji Changxi and won't let go no matter how hard he tries to pull it off.

Ji Changxi: How did this happen?

Rogue Immortal A: Canglong Lanshu is still a young dragon. He'll leave once he takes human form and understands how things work.

Ji Changxi is skeptical, but soon hears a flurry of footsteps.

Lanshu has grown into a child of about seven or eight. He hugs Ji Changxi around the waist and won't let go, his face innocent and bewildered.

Ji Changxi: What's going on now?

Rogue Immortal B: Maybe you have to wait until Lanshu grows up... Sorry, I can't make this up anymore.

Lanshu follows Ji Changxi around every day, calling out, "Xi-xi this," and "Xi-xi that."

Until one day, a creep follows Ji Changxi home and says he wants to be his boyfriend.

Lanshu turns back into an adult overnight and blocks the doorway. "You want to be Xi-xi's boyfriend? You think you're worthy?"

Lanshu has an incredible physique, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a beautiful V-shaped torso. He's more than half a head taller than Ji Changxi.

Ji Changxi smiles. "So now you can't hug my legs and act pitiful anymore, right? When are you planning to leave?"

Lanshu squats halfway down, wraps his arms around Ji Changxi's legs, lifts him high into the air, and laughs. "Who says? I'm not leaving."

Ji Changxi: ...You're faking an injury to cling to me, aren't you!

Lanshu: "Why won't you believe I'm here to repay your kindness?"
