The Eighties' Dramatic Little Widow

A fair-skinned, beautiful, drama-loving master's wife x a brooding younger man who prowls in the shadows, a powerful big shot Ye Ziyi woke up one day to find herself back more than forty years in the past, just after she had become a widow. In her previous life, she was widowed young and struggled to make a living. After she fell ill, her relatives and trusted aides took control of everything, leaving her unable to pay for medicine. When she was alone and helpless, suffering from her illness, Zhou Sijing, her late husband's apprentice, came to find her. By then, he had become a renowned private entrepreneur. He was no longer the poor country bumpkin whose clothes were full of holes. The man paid for her treatment, cared for her, protected her, and cherished her like the most precious thing in his heart. But because of their different positions, she feared she would hold him back. She never once returned his feelings before she died. After her death, he donated all his wealth and devoted himself to Buddhism, praying before the Buddha for a chance to be reborn with her. If she remembered correctly, her late husband's brothers and clansmen would come today to seize her property and land. In her previous life, she couldn't bear to leave and refused Zhou Sijing's care. This time, she chose to sell her land and house and go with him. But will someone please tell her why Zhou Sijing is so hard to win over when he's young? She's been walking around in front of him in skimpy clothes, and he still doesn't react. Only Zhou Sijing knew how much self-control it took to suppress the urge to take advantage of her. She was the person who had treated him best in the world, a treasure he would risk his life to protect. He shouldn't have harbored such a filthy thought, wanting to drag the moon down from the sky and sink into the darkness with it. On countless nights when no one knew, his desire spread like weeds across his heart. The wildfires never consume them completely; when spring winds blow, they grow again.
