Reeds fill the islets, cold sand borders the shallow stream. Twenty years later, I pass South Tower once more. The boat is still not steady beneath the willows. How many days until Mid-Autumn again?
The Yellow Crane's headland lies broken. Is my old friend still here? The old landscape is all tangled up with new sorrow. I would buy osmanthus blossoms and take wine along, but it would never be like those youthful days.
-- Liu Guo, "Tang Duo Ling: Reeds Fill the Islets"
A very random idea. When I watched the Bamboo Industry arc in middle school, I wondered what would happen if Yuechu and Fugui'er learned about Badao. Recently, I studied "A Record of the Item Xiangji," so I came back to write a little Fox Spirit Matchmaker.
To force the plot along, I made Badao fall victim to a rejuvenation poison. How he got poisoned doesn't matter; I couldn't think of a reason anyway. What matters is Badao's face when he was young. Huh?
Theme: I would buy osmanthus blossoms and take wine along, but it would never be like those youthful days.
Even though I knew it was a scam, I still watched it, and I really cried.
