Even Rika Akutagawa Can't Escape the Curse of True Love

At seventeen, Rika Akutagawa inexplicably fell into a coma and was moved permanently into the top-tier ward of Port Mafia Affiliated Hospital. And just as her doctors were at their wits' end, no one knew she was dreaming. In her dream, little Rika had a childhood sweetheart. They even promised to marry when they grew up. And then, and then, little Rika died, and her childhood sweetheart cursed her corpse into a Cursed Spirit?! Now that she finally knew the monsters that had been draining her sanity since childhood were called Cursed Spirits, Rika Akutagawa wondered: How did this story suddenly go from pure romance to a love that transcends life and death? After little Rika attained Buddhahood in her dream, Rika Akutagawa woke up and became a medical miracle in the eyes of her doctors! Rika Akutagawa: Whew, no need to panic. Her brother Ryunosuke can always use Rashomon to rescue her from all those doctors gawking at her. Besides, she has her big sister Gin! Her sister can hide their auras and sneak her right out of the hospital! Then, just as the unruffled Rika Akutagawa was returning to school life, she ran into a group of second-years from the technical college who were there to handle a paranormal incident. Recognizing them as classmates of the childhood sweetheart from her dream, Rika Akutagawa thought: No, this is what I should be panicking about! If her dream is becoming reality, won't that childhood sweetheart, who is currently mourning her as a widow, go on cursing her? No, she refuses. The beauty of the Akutagawa family won't let her stick out like a sore thumb! This story came from the author's idea of, "What if Rika could grow up too?" Sob, sob. I want to see young boys and girls fall in love. I don't want to read about a widow mourning her dead love in such a steamy way! Core theme: Love as an adult is less bittersweet than young love.
