My Years as a Demon

You don’t need to have read Berserk or played Elden Ring to enjoy this, because I have no intention of following the original’s bleak, tragic plot.

The proper blurb:

++++ The heroine, Gaoden, will appear as a third-party character in this story. (It can also be read as pure Western fantasy.) It’s about a gamer with a few cheats who transmigrates to a dark, fantastical medieval world and follows her own path.

+++++ She won’t go out of her way to cozy up to the protagonists, male or female, unless there’s a reason to, and she won’t view them through the rose-colored glasses of a fan. (In the setting, she’s only a casual fan. She hasn’t read Berserk closely and has only heard of it.)

+++++ A woman who has received a modern education and been exposed to progressive ideas has an independence of her own. I hope she can live as herself in a dark, constricting age without a glimmer of light, become a defender of her ideals, and fight for her cause.

P.S. I’m fascinated by the world of Berserk, but my stubborn side refuses to eat another helping of tragedy.

When the stars of humanity shine, a golden sun will surely rise.
